Learning Targets:
1. Students will participate in a simulation to find empathy for the participants of the Underground Railroad
2. Students will examine Spirituals to find codes used to escape.
What we did:
1. Starter: use this link and go to slide 16 to do the starter: Underground Railroad PowerPoint
2. Listened to more Spirituals and discussed them
3. Did the worksheet "Underground Railroad" and were assigned to finish it at home.
If you were absent:
1. Get a PURPLE Starter Packet from the binder and DO the starter
2. Get a BLUE worksheet from the binder and do it.
