HONORS: Began Columbus Mock Trial
REGULAR: Corrected the World Political Map and traced some explorer routes.

Starter: 
HONORS: Who do you think is to blame for what happened to the Native Americans? And why?
  
REGULAR: Why do we need to know the geography of the if we are just studying the U.S.'s history? 

If you were absent: 
HONORS: Come see Mrs. Dickson to get the materials and explanation for the Mock Trials.

REGULAR: Correct your World Map with the Answer Key and then turn in to the pink basket with it stamped "Absent."

REGULAR: World Political Maps, 30 pts

Learning Target: 
Students can name the 3 main reasons Europeans explored and name an example for each.

What we did: 
1. Starter
HONORS: Drew Routes of the Explorers on their World Maps and then read an article titled "Challenging Columbus"

REGULAR: Completed the World Political Map in class. Some finished for homework.

Starter: 
HONORS: What are the three G's and expand on what each means.

REGULAR: What was the main resource the Plains Indians used for food and shelter?

If you were absent: 
1. Do the Starter!!!
HONORS: Get the routes from a classmate or Mrs. Dickson and trace them onto your World Map.  Then keep it, we will turn it in another day.

REGULAR: Get a World Political Map from the Blue Binder and complete it at home using the instructions.

Learning Target: 
Students will identify how Native Americans used their environment to survive.

What we did: 
Starter
HONORS: worked on the Native American Culture Regions Map and most finished in class.

REGULAR: Got into groups and began the Native American Regions Table.

Starter: 
How do you turn in an assignment after an absence? And how long after you get back do you have to turn it in?

If you were absent: 
HONORS: Use the book to complete the Native Americans Region Map and be ready to correct it if possible on Tuesday.

REGULAR: Get a white Native American Regions Table from the blue binder and I will put you into a group when you return.
