Thursday, May 18th

What we did: 
1. We talked about the Community trip to Washington D.C. and New York City for next summer. Parent Meeting is next Thursday at 6 pm

2. We did more presentations.

Learning Target: 
Students will identify conditions for children in the factories.

What we did: 
1. Corrected the Exit Tickets from the day before.
2. Saw pictures, a video clip, and descriptions of child labor in the past and in the present.

Monday, May 8th

Learning Target: 
All students can identify the conditions of factory life and the issues of child labor.

What we did: 
1. Finished "The North" notes and then took an Exit Ticket on the Industrial Revolution.

DO NOT COPY QUESTIONS TODAY:
1.What were some feelings you had during the simulation yesterday?
2.Did your team make a lot of boxes? Why or Why not?

3.What do you think is the lesson you were to learn? Use vocabulary from this chapter.

If you were absent: 
1. Do the Starter (unless you were absent Friday for the Box Factory, then just explain you were absent).
2. Finish the notes using the website or a friends notes. 
3. Come for Plus or after school to take the quiz.

4. Received North packet and began to take notes.

Students will analyze primary sources to understand the Underground RR

What we did: 
1. No Starter
2. Got back in groups and finished the QR Code Table.
3. Began a worksheet on the Underground RR.
4. All classes except 6th period turned in their tables for credit.

No Starter: 

If you were absent: 
1. Get your table finished.  If you need the QR codes you can do it during Plus or find the links on my website.
2. Get the worksheet on the Underground RR from the blue binder and complete it.  Step outside when we correct it please.
